These drivers have nice original, all paper cones from the late 1950's -  both drivers have matched cone numbers .... Both cones are both are cosmetically ,meechanically and electrically very well matched, and in excellent condition. The cone paper is thick, supple and still quite dark-- the dust caps are factory treated to cance high frequenciescleaning up low end response. DCR for Unit #1 and Unit #2 was around 5 ohms on our calibrated meter. Overall cosmetics of these  are excellent the frames are original black. Cones are well centered and worked perfectly during a 20-20k sweep..no rattles or buzzes.

A pair of seldom seen 15" woofers from the late 1950's, that meet properly with low resonance needs.  These were designed for tone reproduction systems, for extremely clean, high fidelity lows from early tube amplified sound systems. This makes them ideal for a variety of DiY, low powered tube driven projects -- the places where you might want to try your hand a low end reproduction with the limited power capabilities of a single ended amp.

Tests indicate they would perform well in many situations, both in enclosures or open baffle. Your results will vary in your given situation -- though the fact that these are so efficient you will certainly have good success with them after a bit of setup and tweaking.

The cones and speakers play perfectly, well centered, no rubs -- they were swept 20- 20,000 hz, and I heard no problems (study reports in exhibit photo). Speakers are excellently matched -- They both sounded nice , with a perfect, matched bench reading of free air resonance reading of 41hz , and a close, less perfect Qts of .54 and .46 respectively. ( perfection in readings is uncommon for for vintage speakers of the era, and totally subject to the less than perfect accuracy of bench instrumentation). Real world tests, with music, they perform very beautifully to ear -- though of course they roll off quickly much above 1200hz -- remember these are for bass reproduction specifically. The results you can attain are a fast, low bass -- different than the slower, hulking bass that you get from higher excursion, "gooey" edged types of low frequency reproducers...

These are fast and efficient woofers, they are not full range -- they will pair excellently with many varieties of high efficiency horn setups, like the Altec 802 / 811A, (with or without 3000A tweeters, or RP302) or Jensen cone mids, Magnavox, JBL 175, and  even Electrovoice 8HDs.

Here is a demonstration video, where I go over some of the attributes of this type of speaker -- the tests you see and here were conducted on this exact pair of speakers... whatch and listen for the demo at the last 2mins...and you can preview exactly what you will receive. These were demonstrated in a test bench setting, as there are many different ways you can choose to use them...this is the purest way to demonstrate these. If your computer / headphones playback system is capable, you will here the driver cleanly reproducing 40hz at the start of my sweep!

When they are placed on even a small open baffle, you will experience much more low frequency response, than you hear here -- making these ideal for bass augmentation. In a cabinet or horn projecter even more. These are excellent for use in nearly any Diy, low power setup you may try. The companion 8" full range was just a nice sounding unit I had handy at the time. They were connected in series, in order to present my tube amp with a nicer high impedance load. In this test, at least you do hear how clean and clear they are, not to mention high efficiency!

The have been fully swept, down to 20 cyc -- to 20,000cyc…. and have perfect function, and  good & MATCHED sounding on the bench. Excellent response, clean and clear, well centered.

Both coils were near perfectly mathced calibrated DCR and Impedance sweep showed excellent response on both drivers  (see included reports in exhibit photo) .

Top-notch function no rattles, no buzzes-- distortion free.

They will sell quickly.  Please seeing my 100%, five star feedback from happy overseas customers.

All speakers are professionally packed in heavy double box with full protection, and shipped out ASAP after payment has been received. These efficient woofers drivers are very heavy, 35lbs packed in strong double box, bolted face to face.

Study carefully your needs and considerations... if these will do, certainly give them a tr; they're strong performers -- you won't be disappointed if you need good 15" low response woofer.

Please see my excellent 100% five-star feedback on all vintage audio items. Fast dispatch, excellent safety & communication always.

Your happiness is assured (please see my feedback, both here and at HiFiTown website)
