Seller Notes:

“ a well cared for WE 300B from the late 1940s, features the prewar style single, lower round getter, one of the last ones that did. TV7 Tested at 76 (min 58 TV7) and 110% emission and good projected life test as well. This  tube was used gently, and has and has faint flashing (transparent, see Exhibit G). This tube was carefully stored, as a spare for many years, and is working perfectly well (will be posting test video demonstration, see below). This tube had good performance, when tested in WE91 single ended amp, it sounded terrific, just as you would expect a 300B to.  (See test reports Exhibit B,C,D,E). The base yellow ink is worn, still legible, though faint.  Otherwise, it presents nicely, with very clear glass, no rattles and  a tight base. from manufacture. Tubes are good, working well, both were tested in a WE91A circuit and sound great. From the mid/late 1940's this model of 300B was the last to feature the prewar style

A well cared for WE 300B from the late 1940s. It features the prewar style single, lower round getter, the same arrangement as the earlier engraved types, treasured by collectors. These, from the 1940s were the latest that did, untill the round arrangement reappeared in the 70s.. This tube was tested on a calibrated TV7, reading  76 (where a min=58 TV7, which is 65%)  and 110% emission, no shorts and good projected life, on a calibrated Jackson 648 (where the min=70%).

This  tube was used very gently over the years, as the glass envelope is clear and healthly looking with absolutely no brown marks. The flashing is faint / transparent (see Exhibit G), which is frequently seen in older 300B's (life test of this tube checked out healthy).  This gem was carefully stored, as a spare for many years, by an audiophile engineer as backup, and is still working perfectly well (will be posting test video demonstration, see below). This tube had good performance, when tested in WE91 single ended amp, it sounded just terrific!  Just as you would expect an early 300B to -- audiophiles seek these, the "early round getter" because they are built so well, similar to the early engraved....they only made the round getters a few years after WWII, and then quickly revised to single D and double D getters in the 1950s. From the mid/late 1940's this model of 300B was the last to feature the prewar style.

This is an ultra sought after original,   68 years old! ... These are the real McCoy that everybody wants.

Guaranteed NO DOA.  A real 300B can provide the detail and tone you can rely only on very old WECO triodes for.  Original production...

This tube sounded beautiful when played with music when tested in WE 91 single ended circuit at 5.2 volts filament.  Very good function, in the single ended circuit.  NO SHORTS, both checked perfect beyond 2 megohms in Jackson machine. ) Tests made in multiple calibrated testers, including a Calibrated TV/7 the world's standard for WE tubes.... GM (mutual conductance) (TV7 minimum is 58 which is 65%) -- this tube read 76.

For easy reference, see Exhibits (B,C). This tube read 110% on Jackson 648R at full load.  This is a used tube, scoring a very good projected life. A test in which tubes are tested under reduced filament voltage.

Tube has been used gently / gracefully  ... the glass is crystal clear, and flashing is very faint / transparent, indicating careful, light duty use.  These gorgeous bakelite bases is sturdy - no cracks, thought the Yellow ink letters are faded.

The original  era of the O getter arrangement (begininng in the engraved base 1930s,  until the mid 1940s, when WE abruptly sswitched to 1x lower "D" shape, which remained until the 1960s. The round hoop getter, like this tube features is the most collectible.

Early 300B's are getting quite scarce now. This is one of the best sounding postwar 300B's to own.
