Rare find!  All matched NOS pair of 1940's, early days -- single ended UTC output transformers. Most UTC's this early are wonderful sounding - you can really expect allot of magic out of them -- quite a bit like really old peerless. If you are considering an upcoming SE project, give these strong consideration vs newer LS designs.  What a nice set NOS too ! And, they're allot heavier, than the smaller S-14 for instance. And much more ruggedized with sealed-end terminals. They're the unique "hermetically" sealed versions of UTC's SPECIAL or "S" series 1940s transformer line. Our very last pair, and I expect the last I'll ever see or be lucky enough to own.

We don't have them shown in this 1940s catalog -- these transformers are ETCHED metal, with all info & windings.

They are cleaner too. With fewer winding options than S-Series, so they'll be very desirable for purist SE applications. This is amatched pair, so both are Primary 250, 500, 1000 & 2500 , to Sec: 15 ohms. Not much unlike the application of a Western Electric 171A -- just a few less tap options. Unit #'1s diagram shows a power rated up to 25 watts -- quite hefty for the mid 40's. That's right: these feature only a single 15 ohm secondary tap...great for vintage high efficieny loudspeakers.

Imagine this nice pair of UTC's behind a single ended 2A3 (or even SE wired 6L6!) in circuit. This is the last pair we've got, stored for many years. They are NOS -, original 66 years old, the real McCoy, in great shape with only minor nicks!! They were removed from NEVER used (NOS) tube audio amps, dated from the mid 1940s.

Unit #1 made in 1945, and Unit #2 from 1946. Study Exhibit B, C, D & E carefully they are the exact same model #, on has slight different ceramic spacers -- otherwise cosmetically quite well matched, and both pri/sec coils -- have nicely matched DCR!!

You're not going to see these again anytime soon- excellent for your dream SE amp project. Keep in mind too:  prewar & wartime UTC is well known to sound excellent. UTC's quality was really legendary during this time, just as other manufacturers were hitting their stride, Peerless & Triad were still pretty young. Only Western Electric themselves made nicer looking iron.  This is our last pair, and as we sold all out many years ago -- we've heard since then from audiophiles -- they were excellent.

See exhibit C for the schematic/diagram. Please study photos, minor cosmetic difference, same MODEL # and exact specs for both.

Very difficult to find in MINT Condition and completely tested; GUARANTEED NO DOA. These are sought after and will sell very quickly.

All 100% happy customers, see feedback & testimonials.  Double box packing. Fast overseas dispatch.
