A working great PAIR of EARLY 1940's grey (no leaks, Low ESR) Western electric 315B original condenser capacitors. They are all original from early,1940s thru 1960's era Bell system tube equipment. This capacitors tested excellent on high-voltage Sencore LC 103 capacitor tester.
Please see reports in photo for full test. Very rare configuration and very useful for tube preamplifier & amplifier builders, DIY 100% vintage WECO. Each paper / oil sealed condensor is it’s own sealed four (4pcs) multi-section .5uf, so each unit same as (4) .5uf Western Electric oil caps /each ! The very height of Western Electric quality. This type is of the very sought after sealed Hook end ... sealed oil capacitor. They were tested at real in-circuit high voltage (400V) and were found to be excellent with near perfect rated capacities 4x .5uf @ high 400 V and NO LEAKAGE and low ... most sections under 1 ohm ESR on each unit's section (see reports below).
These units, removed from non-use Western Electric Bell System tube amplifier system, very old and do have expected old, rough texture & WORN GREY PAINT.
No leaks -- top hooks are solid -- .…Fully inspected. Very old …so you know it's indeed the Real McCoy — famously durable at high Volts — and they have the wonderful, detailed sound all hobbyists want — these are 1950s fische paper impregnated / oil WE caps — same always used in WECO equipment and tube amps 1930s - 1960s. They will be carefully packed in double box with original Western electric hardware / mounting nuts & washers included.
All sections test excellent (see photo below) and good capacity & no leaks.
